A foundation I started to democratize storytelling — training marginalized and grassroots communities to tell their own stories on film, with nothing more than a smartphone.
Communities with the most powerful stories — marginalized voices, indigenous groups, grassroots movements — are almost always the subjects, never the storytellers. I founded Paridrishya to flip that: training these communities in smartphone filmmaking so they can tell their own stories visually. 29 workshops and counting.
